MARTHA E. COHEN ARNSTEIN

Partner and head specialized in regulatory and public law practice, with more than 20 years of experience in the field. Prior to founding ALTUM, Martha was an associate and partner for 19 years of the Public and State-relations practice of one of the most important international law firms with presence in Venezuela.


Martha has broad experience in negotiating, preparing and signing contracts with public entities, incorporating consortia, strategic associations and mixed entities, advising in bidding processes, audits, sanctioning procedures, expropriations and measures with equivalent effects. Martha also handles matters regarding consumer and price protection, anti-trust, anti-corruption, and sanitary registries in various sectors (food, pharma and cosmetics).


Martha has been deeply involved in due diligences on compliance of regulatory and environmental legislation, the design of corrective measures, and permits and authorizations before regulatory entities.

Throughout her career, Martha has been recognized by Chambers and Partners, Best Lawyers, and Legal 500 and Latin Lawyer, in public and environmental law areas.
